Kingston Council is seeking permission to rename one of the suites in its Guildhall

Councillors have asked Buckingham Palace if they can change the name of the Queen Anne Suite to the Queen Elizabeth II Suite. 

In Merton, council leader Ross Garrod laid flowers outside the civic centre, and other people are encouraged to do the same.

Yesterday, proclamations took place at Town Halls across South-West London and North Surrey.

Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea, David Linsday, has this to say about that.
