The head of a union says the Prime Minister needs to address a "toxic work culture" in Whitehall
The FDA represents civil servants, and its general secretary Dave Penman wants reform of the complaints system because his members have lost faith in the current process. Rishi Sunak was recently criticised for his choices in picking his top team after appointing Sir Gavin Williamson, despite knowing he was being investigated over bullying claims. Civil servants who worked with Esher and Walton MP Dominic Raab have told the Guardian he was "rude and aggressive". A spokesperson for the cabinet offie says they have no record of formal complaints. A spokesman for Mr Raab says "Dominic has high standards, works hard, and expects a lot from his team as well as himself" and he "always acts with the utmost professionalism."
