Another emergency meeting's being held by the government to discuss the role of military personnel and others to limit disruption from strikes
Nurses from the RCN are walking out tomorrow in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Meanwhile, Royal Mail workers are starting a fresh 48-hour strike today.
And it's day two of the RMT's walkout affecting Network Rail and 14 train companies.
Dan Panes from the Rail Delivery Group, which represents train companies, says the offer is 8 percent over two years.
Tony Devenish, London Assembly Member for West Central, says "It is clear that the militant unions have no intention of compromising and want to put commuters through misery to further their political agenda.
We cannot allow essential services to be hijacked by a small group of radical union barons like this.
It is right that the government is considering new legislation to protect the public from unnecessary disruption, including establishing minimum service levels for transport."
