The leader of Mole Valley Council has formally written to housing provider Clarion regarding ongoing issues of mould and damp
Responsibility for the district’s social housing stock transferred from the council to Clarion in 2007. Clarion was one of six housing associations highlighted in a recent report by the national Housing Ombudsman. It multiple failings of damp and mould, complaint handling and record-keeping at the company. If residents find damp and mould in their property, there are a few actions that can be taken immediately. These include cleaning affected surfaces regularly and wiping off excessive condensation.
