A scientist specialising in Covid and Monkeypox has been jailed, after a fatal collision in Tower Hill

In August 2021, 29-year-old Ibnu Rizwan met up with friends in Tooting and started drinking, then unsuccessfully tried to get into a club. 

Later that evening, he hired a Zipcar, and while driving at “at least” 30mph in a 20mph zone, he hit and killed 32-year-old artist David Evans. 

Rizwan was found to be “close” to the drink-drive limit. 

He’s been sentenced to two years in prison.
