A charity in Croydon has been awarded National Lottery funding to provide drug awareness workshops to parents and carers
The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity set up in 2014 by Tim and Fiona Spargo-Mabbs. It was launched in response to the death of their 16-year-old son Daniel who passed away after taking ecstasy. The workshops, called “I Wish I’d Known”, will last approximately 90 minutes. They will be delivered in person or live-streamed with priority given to state maintained schools and colleges. The funding covers qualifying workshops booked to take place between now and the end of February next year.
