A youth cricket centre in Isleworth says it is in talks with the sport’s governing body, the ECB, to keep its logo.

Middlesex School’s Cricket has been asked by Middlesex Cricket to stop using its name and logo which both bear similar resemblances.

Middlesex Cricket has said in a previous statement that it is “irrefutably” distancing itself from the organisation. 

But the school’s club says its logo was run by their head of commercial who approved the move in writing.

Middlesex Cricket says it voiced concerns when it found out about the organisation in 2021.

Bosses were worried it would lead to incorrect assumptions that their organisations were in some way affiliated which is “categorically not the case”.
