A watchdog says the Metropolitan police should work more closely with the City of London force and the British Transport Police

A report says that the three should create a single Sensitive Intelligence Unit and share more information with each other.

The Met and BTP were rated as adequate at tackling serious and organised crime.

Scotland Yard was also found to have difficulties retaining specialist officers.

The force says it’s launched a Turnaround Plan and is not “complacent”.
