“Comprehensive signage” is coming to shops and car parks in Spelthorne to ensure social distancing.

Other measures include a handwashing station on Staines High Street.

Staines Market will also be on only one side of the High Street to keep queues away from shopfronts.

Councillor Olivia Rybinksi says while shops are reopening, trips there “should not be seen as a day out” and asked people to only purchase “necessary items”.
