Kingston Council and others across London have given clarification on the use of Freedom Passes on public transport.

From tomorrow, passengers will not be able to use Older Persons Freedom Passes, 60+ Oyster cards or the English National Concessionary scheme at peak times.

The aim is to reduce crowding during rush hour, which would make social distancing difficult.

TfL is recommending the use of contactless cards, mobile tickets or Oyster cards to avoid going to ticket machines.
