Councillors in Wandsworth have written to London Mayor Sadiq Khan to help them impose a 20mph speed limit on all roads

The council has already implemented the limit on the roads it controls, but others are managed by TfL.

There has been some confusion in the past over whether 20mph zones actually do decrease carbon emissions.

But healthcare body NICE is advising authorities nationwide to invoke the limit.
