People in North Cheam are calling for a security team to be re-instated to control queues at the drive-thru McDonald’s there

The fast food chain started re-opening certain restaurants last month.

North Cheam was one of just three to open its drive-thru doors in greater London.

One of the others that re-opened was just up the road in Sutton, meaning reported 3 hour traffic jams ensued at times.

Within a week, the franchisee of the North Cheam branch had employed Phoenix Security to control the traffic problem.

However, the team has since been dispersed, with residents claiming the area is now gridlocked again and buses delayed.

They’re calling on McDonald’s to re-instate Phoenix Security at the restaurant chain’s own cost.
