sKIDS is a pioneering nationwide testing programme which hopes to help scientists further understand the virus.
Children and staff will be tested to see if they can pass the virus on without symptoms and also whether they go on to develop immunity.
The schools involved are Addison, St Mary’s RC, Norman Croft, Melcombe and Avonmore.
