Dozens of young people have been seen “tombstoning ” from Teddington Lock

That’s according to the RNLI, which is warning of the dangers of the practice.

Tombstoning is when somebody jumps into the sea or water from a height, staying straight and vertical.

There is a risk of serious injury especially to the spine and the shock of jumping into cold water can also kill in seconds.
