Surrey County Council is asking the government to bring in an emergency package to support Gatwick and Heathrow airports

Over 100,000 people are employed at both airports with more employed in the feeder industries of catering, cargo and travel.

Both airports have taken a massive hit in revenue because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
