Teddington is being asked to applaud one of its heroes as his funeral procession passes along the High Street later

95 year old Francis Burtenshaw lived in the town for his entire life, except for 5 years he spent in India during WW2.

He ran his long-standing family fishmonger business from its premises in Udney Park Road for 50 years.

He passed away last month.

The funeral leaves Udney Park at 1.15pm.
