The Fire Brigades Union is vowing to fight “unthinkable” proposals to cut the London Fire Brigade budget by £25m over two years.

The news has been announced as part of the Mayor of London’s £500m savings plan.

The Norbiton based FBU says it condemns the “huge damage to the fire service” left over from Boris Johnson’s time as Mayor of London.

The union has also criticised Mayor Sadiq Khan for “passing on Tory cuts”.
