The peal of church bells will be heard across London this evening in memory of the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.

St Mary's Church in Teddington will be ringing its bells 72 times at 6pm in honour of the 72 people who lost their lives.

Rev Joe Moffatt remembered being especially moved when he conducted the funerals of two victims who were identified much later than the others.

Over 100 parish churches are joining in the initiative championed by the Bishop of Kensington, the Right Reverend Graham Tomlinson.
