The incident took place at the Stepping Stones beauty spot whilst crossing the river leaving one person with serious facial injuries.
One of the suspects is described as of medium build with short dark hair and a beard wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts.
Another described as of chubby build with a grey t-shirt, grey shorts and white footwear.
