A report into Russian interference in UK politics has confirmed the Kremlin did try to influence the 2014 Scottish independence referendum


But it says it's very difficult to prove that Moscow meddled in the Brexit vote, two years later.

The long-awaited findings come from the Commons intelligence and security committee.

Epsom MP and former Transport secretary Chris Grayling was reportedly the government favourite to chair the committee, but was kept out of the job when Dr Julian Lewis put himself forward instead.

The report says "Russian influence is the new normal".
