A statue of former Ethiopian leader Haile Selassie has been destroyed on Wimbledon Common.

The incident took place in Cannizaro Park on Tuesday evening.

Witnesses claim around 100 people join in in destroying the bust.

Unrest in Ethiopia was sparked earlier this week after a popular singer was shot dead.
