Acting Lib Dem leader, Sir Ed Davey, says his party should work with Sir Keir Starmer to defeat Boris Johnson at the next election.

The MP for Kingston and Surbiton wants to get tactical and co-operate with the Labour party.

In an interview with Business Insider he declared himself an ‘anti-conservative’ and rejected ever forming a coalition with them.

Meanwhile he’s called Sir Keir “very smart” and doesn’t think he’ll be as antagonistic towards the Lib Dems as he says Jeremy Corbyn was.

Sir Ed is the frontrunner to succeed Jo Swinson as the party’s leader.
