More domestic abuse refuges have opened in Surrey, after a surge in demand during lockdown


The County Council says the building provides space for seven families, with the potential for 18 in the future.

Reigate and Banstead Women’s Aid CEO Charlotte Kneer says “it’s startling to think how much we have achieved in six weeks.

It’ll be maintained by the council, with funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner to provide specialist support.
