No-shows at Kew Gardens are levelling out at around 20%

Once lockdown restrictions eased, visitors had been asked to book slots in advance to help with social distancing at the site.

But bosses now say the no shows mean they are having to increase capacity for visitors showing up on the day to accommodate for the loss.

Closing the world-famous gardens during the pandemic is estimated to have lost Kew £15 million.
