PCs Amy Bale and Red Haddouch were called last Thursday, and the man was floating and not responding to their calls.
They ran into the water and pulled him out to the side.
He was then taken to hospital.
Sergeant James O’Conner says they selflessly put the public first, and played it down as just another day at work.
