A company in Brentford that broke recycling law has paid to fund several thousand news trees on the other side of London.

EMC Computer Systems failed to register the packaging waste it produced for a number of years.

It’ll now be forced to pay nearly £9,000 to the charity Trees for Cities, with the proceeds contributing to a new woodland in Ilford.

Trees absorb carbon emissions, absorb air pollution, and provide a safe haven to thousands of species.
