A volunteer group in Kingston has sewn more than 35,000 items for frontline workers over lockdown.

The community initiative, Sewing4Kingston, delivers masks, sets of scrubs and cannula covers and hats for premature babies to hospitals across South West London.

The group is made up of women of a variety of ages, both local to Kingston and from further afield.

A number of donations have also been given to the group from local companies in Kingston, such as Gina’s Bridal Services and Claire’s Accessories.

Photographs of Sewing4Kingston’s products can be found on their Facebook page.
