Acid attacks appear to be on the rise in Kingston

Met Police figures obtained by the Conservative Party have revealed there were 13 attacks in 2019 compared to 3 in 2015.

This makes Kingston the joint fifth worst borough in London for this type of crime.

The Conservatives are asking Kingston's Chief Superintendent Sally Benetar for urgent action to address the problem.

In the ten years from 2008 to 2018, acid attacks in London as a whole increased by 430% from 59 to 313.
