The first “Women in Esports” scholarship has been announced by Roehampton University.

It’ll give the four recipients access to work placements and training in the field of professional sports video gaming.

It’s believed to the first of its kind in Europe.

Julia Cwierz received an all-gender Esports scholarship from the University two years ago, and now plays in tournaments.

She says it allowed her to improve her computer setup, and improve her skills through coaching sessions.
