An 85-year-old man has been convicted of a number of historic sexual offences against a 12-year-old boy from Runnymede.

Philip Blanch groomed and assaulted one of the young caddies from his golf club between 1975 and 1977.

Blanch was sentenced to 24 months for each count to be served concurrently, suspended for 24 months.

He is subject to an electronically monitored four month curfew from 7pm to 7am and was ordered to pay costs of £1,500.
