An executive at Unilever has resigned after a whistleblower revealed that he was having an affair with a colleague.

Director Andrea Pirie from Kingston revealed the information, and claimed she lost out on a promotion because of it.

Gary McGaghey was alleged to have been made “twisted” by the relationship, and created a “hostile work environment”.

Mrs Pirie received £170,000 in damages, and Mr McGaghey was not involved in the tribunal.
