Andy Murray returns to singles action at a Grand Slam today for the first time since the 2019 Australian Open

Britain's former world number one gets his US Open tennis campaign underway against Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka this evening.

Murray needed a hip resurfacing operation in January last year, and while he won the Queen’s Club championship in West Kensington afterwards, he only got through to the third round of mixed doubles at Wimbledon.

But he says he can't wait to get going again.
