Five businesses in Tooting have been fined for failing to say who disposes of their waste

It’s part of a scheme to tackle “cowboy operators” who dump rubbish illegally.

Councillor Steffi Sutters says “Litter blights our town centres, streets and parks and we won’t stand for it”.

The five will have to pay £300 each.
