Work was due to begin on Monday at the Staveley Road and Park Road Junction, as part of efforts to prevent rat running.
Comments left on
the council’s website have been calling for pedestrian crossings, as cars drive
fast down the straight road.
The council says
the scheme will be a trial, and will be amended in the light of any impact.
