Surbiton’s Green councillor is calling on Kingston Council to reduce the cost of secure cycle parking.

 An on-street parking permit cost £90 a year whereas the secure cycle parking ‘hangers’ cost £70 per bike.

Each hanger can take up to six bikes. 

Sharron Sumner says 11 Lib Dem councillors opposed the suggestion at a council meeting last week.
