The Lib Dems are partly blaming coronavirus outbreaks at universities on the government's handling of this year's A-level results.

Kingston & Surbiton MP Sir Ed Davey says the decision to use teachers' predictions of pupils' grades led to significantly more students enrolling this year, not allowing unis enough time to prepare. 

His party's online conference begins today, and he'll give his first speech as leader on Monday.
