The MP for Twickenham is concerned about upcoming rugby fixtures scheduled to take place in front of fans at Twickenham Stadium.

Munira Wilson’s written to the Sports Minister, urging him to put the “public health and safety of local residents” first.

She’s especially worried about the RFU’s plans to stage two games on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of October.

If the games go ahead they could see 44,000 spectators travel into Twickenham.

Ms Wilson’s asked the government to provide assurances the matches will not lead to a rise in coronavirus cases in South West London.
