A cemetery in Thames Ditton is to become a wildflower garden

Earlier this month, nine volunteers turned up at St Nicholas’ Church to cut the grass, which had grown three feet high.

A number of the graves are of ex-servicemen, and it was decided to transform it into a garden.

Helen Edwards has been leading the campaign to crowdsource the seeds, and says they’ve had donations from as far as Devon:

She’s asking people to buy wildflower seeds, and post them to St Nicholas’ Church on Summer Road.
