Two London boroughs made the top 20 - the other one’s Camden – almost a third of them are covered in trees.
Croydon and Camden both have wooded areas but also lots of tree lined streets and gardens which push the percentage up.
Aerial survey company Bluesky International, and mapping specialist Esri UK, have detected 400 million trees in England and Wales but say there are still more to find.
