Richmond Council says the Government’s housing targets for the borough are “unachievable.”

The Government’s “housing algorithm” suggests that Richmond must start delivering 2,000 new homes per year.

That’s a big leap from the current target of 441 homes.

Authority bosses say the plans are at the expense of other pressing issues such as borough infrastructure and climate change.
