Wallington's David Weir has missed the chance to win a record ninth London Marathon men's wheelchair title.

The athlete, known as ‘The Weirwolf of London’, finished second to Canadian racer Brent Lakatos.

Earlier, Ethiopia's Shura Kitata won the men's title, while Brigid Kosgei retained her title in the women's race.
