There are 11,000 fewer firefighters across the UK today than there were 10 years ago

The Norbiton Based Fire Brigades Union's warning the service won't be ready for major threats to the country unless more are taken on.

It's launched a campaign to ask for more funding and says 5,000 firefighters are needed immediately.
