His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales has commended Whiteley Village in Walton- on-Thames for their 'indomitable community spirit and resilience' during lockdown in the UK.

Prince Charles is patron of Whiteley Homes Trust, which provides care and housing to 450 of Surrey's most vulnerable older people.

The village has so far provided hot meal for residents of the retirement community, sewed hundreds of face-masks for the NHS and donated iPads to keep elderly residents connected with friends and family.
