Kingston Council is waiting to find out how many parents have taken up an invitation to have children at school undergo asymptomatic testing for Coronavirus.

The borough’s Director of Public Health wrote to all schools before Christmas drawing attention to the tests, which are available nationwide. 

At present all schools are due to return by January 11th, although the spike in cases could force the Government to review the plan this week.
