The rate per 100,000 people for the last seven days has risen sharply and is now over 800, or more than one in 150 residents.
This rate is one of the highest in Surrey and is higher than a number of London boroughs.
Leader of the council, John Boughtflower, says it’s is putting a great amount of pressure on hospitals in the area.
