Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey is calling for an independent inquiry into why London has been so badly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.

 The MP for Kingston says it’s “not just about accountability” but also to ensure London is “ready for the challenges it’ll face in the future.” 

Mr Davey announced last week that he’s signed up to become a volunteer steward at one of the capital’s vaccination centres.
