London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney says it wouldn't have been easy for the Premiership to schedule matches at short notice this weekend.

There was a suggestion domestic rugby union could replace European games - which have been postponed as the French government had concerns about travel and coronavirus cases.

Kidney, from the Sunbury-based club, says simply slotting in league fixtures isn't that simple.
