The former Chief Superintendent of Police in South-West London has been recognised in the New Year Honours List.

Sally Benatar received the Queen’s Police Medal for her work with the South-West BCU.

She says she couldn’t have done her job without the “leadership and support” of her deputy and executive team.

She adds that she’s feeling “happy and proud” to receive the recognition for doing the job she loved.
