A former police officer has avoided jail, after punching two other officers who were responding to a call in Croydon.

In July, police were responding to a silent 999 call, and when they arrived, they found 29-year-old former PC Melissa Marulanda and two others.

They tried to enter the address, but the former PC attacked them.

She was arrested immediately, sacked, and has been given a suspended 12 month jail sentence.
