Water firms across England and Wales have seen a rise in written complaints for a third consecutive year, driven partly by Thames Water

The Consumer Council for Water says they're up 11% percent since 2020, reaching a five-year high.

Almost 70% were disputes over bill costs.

Thames was responsible for 42% of complaints, despite only being responsible for 19% of homes.

The supplier says they’re “determined to do better” and they’re working with the watchdog to improve practices.
